Reading GPS Log Data
MCP‑6A can read GPS log data recorded on the TM‑D710GA/GE. The read GPS log data can be viewed with a map
software program.
This section describes how to read GPS log data.
Reading GPS Log Data from the TM-D710GA/GE
Select “Read GPS Logger Data from the Transceiver” from the Program pulldown menu. Data from a GPS Logger and
Waypoints can be read. Select the checkbox of the desired data. Pressing the “Read” button will start reading the data.

When the reading is complete, a screen appears to prompt you to select whether or not you want the GPS log data in
the transceiver to be deleted. The read data cannot be written onto the transceiver again.

Managing the Read GPS Log Data
Whenthereadingiscomplete,theGPSlogdataissavedinNMEAleformatintheMCP-6Afolder.TheGPS Logger
windowshowsthesavedNMEAles.Thelename,youcanchoosePresenttime,Acquiredtime(UTC)fromAcquired
Time (Local Time).
TwotypesofNMEAlearecreated:alethatcontainsallthelogdatareadfromthetransceiverandalethatisdivided
into blocks. Stop the log to divide the data into blocks, while recording the log on the transceiver. For example, if you
wish to divide the log data into data for outward and return trips, stopping the logging once will divide the data into two
blocks.
The GPS LoggerwindowallowsconversionofNMEAlestoKMLorGPXles,ordeletionofthedata.
The GPS Logger window can be opened also from “GPS Logger” in the Tools pulldown menu.
