Error messages
Message Remedy
Can’t play The file being displayed does not exist actually.
\ If <DB Auto update> is set to <Manual update>, be sure to execute <DB
update now> after deleting a file or removing the SD card (page 60).
The music file with DRM cannot be played after its license has expired.
\ Check the license and retry transferring a music file with valid license.
A WMA file with DRM was transferred using the Explorer.
\ WMA files of the DRM9 format should be transferred using provided
Windows Media Player (it is not compatible with the DRM10 format).
Memory Full
No Free space
These messages are displayed when the available memory space is
insufficient.
\ Delete files to increase the available space.
File full
Can’t create anymore
files
The maximum number of manageable files has been reached.
\ Delete unnecessary files. For the maximum number of manageable files,
see <Folders and recorded files> (page 30) or <Specifications> (page 76).
Updating Song list
Updating File name
The file information in the memory is being updated.
Wait until the updating finishes.
Updating may take time if there are large number of files.
Please insert microSD
card
Can’t identify microSD
card
Please insert again
The microSD card is not inserted properly.
\ Switch this unit off and re-insert the microSD card correctly.
The microSD card is formatted with a file system incompatible with this unit.
\ Format the microSD card in this unit (page 57).
Writing speed is slow This message is displayed when the available space in the internal memory or
microSD card is fragmented into small spaces.
\ Format the internal memory or microSD card (page 57).
Certain microSD cards cannot offer a stable recording rate that is indispensable
for recording with high audio quality.
\ Use a high-speed type microSD card of Class 4 or better.
Low battery
Please charge
The battery has no remaining capacity.
\ Recharge the battery (page 17).
\ Supply external power from the USB port of a PC (page 18).
